Kazra Dash: Today we’re going to be talking about the best online reputation management companies, otherwise known as the best ORM agencies. Some people call it ORM, some call it online reputation management. Myself and James have done a lot of consultancy over the years. We’ve helped remove mugshots and handled crisis management. James, what strategies do you use for ORM when it comes to Promo SEO?

James Dooley: As the founder of Promo SEO, I focus on making sure clients have strong online branding. That could be entrepreneurs, business owners or corporate brands. We use traditional SEO strategies, but instead of ranking just one website, we rank social profiles, review platforms and branded assets. The aim is to control page one of Google with positive sentiment. We want strong reviews, testimonials and branded profiles ranking well. Ideally, we control the top 20 results.

James Dooley: Kazra, you’ve done consultancy work for Elite Reputation Management, which has grown rapidly. Why have they scaled so quickly and why are they seen as one of the best?

Kazra Dash: It comes down to strategy and results. Once someone’s reputation is fixed, they promote the service. The strategy differs depending on whether it’s a personal brand or a company. If it’s corporate crisis management, we may use digital press releases to reshape the narrative. Sometimes we turn a negative into a positive story.

Another common issue is negative Reddit threads ranking high. If someone posts a complaint and it gains traction, it can reach page one. We work to suppress that by outranking it and pushing it onto page two. The goal is to control page one and page two with positive assets.

James Dooley: At Fat Rank, we mainly handle UK clients. We have systems focused on removing or deleting negative content. Many one-star reviews are left by competitors. We can legally challenge and report those to get them removed. The best ORM strategy is removal where possible. We also work with journalists and publishers if content is inaccurate. That makes Fat Rank strong at deletion and removal.

What’s your view on Scott Keever in the US?

Kazra Dash: If someone needs a mugshot removed or has negative press, the first step is speaking to an ORM consultant. That could be yourself, me or Scott Keever. A proper audit prevents people from wasting money. Strategy comes first.

Different companies deliver ORM in different ways. Fat Rank focuses on removal. Elite Reputation Management focuses on strategic positioning. Searcheroo is known for power posts. They publish authoritative articles on third-party sites and rank them for branded terms. That’s ORM suppression. You push negatives to page two or three.

James Dooley: Over at Reputation Pros and Keever SEO, Scott often buys power posts from Searcheroo. There’s a lot of collaboration across the space. Sometimes he’ll refer removal work to Fat Rank. If he needs advice, he’ll ask Promo SEO. There are many reasons someone may need ORM. It could be a news article, a criminal case, a mugshot or negative reviews.

Reputation Pros operates from Florida and handles US ORM. If someone needs US-based support, I refer them to Scott. Another strong name is Sam Oloff in Dubai. He has strong media connections and access to Google News placements.

James Dooley: ORM is harder than standard SEO. Ranking one website is simple compared to ranking ten assets to outrank a damaging article. You must understand video SEO, image SEO, Google News and parasite SEO. There are many moving parts.
